Patrick Thomas
British graphic artist Patrick Thomas, is the founder of Studio laVista, a multidisciplinary art studio, silkscreen press and archive. His limited edition silkscreens have been exhibited around the world. Born in Waterloo in 1965, Patrick studied at the Central Saint Martins School of Art and at the Royal College of Art. When he moved to Barcelona, he founded Studio laVista in 1997.
Patrick combines iconic images to create a strong message in his conceptually challenging art. He has exhibited at the New York Times, the International Center of Photography and the School of Visual Arts in New York, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the Ginza Graphic Gallery in Tokyo and more. He has been a member of Alliance Graphique Internationale since 2005, and since 2013 Patrick has also been named Professor of communications design at Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart.
